Time Out Challenge #253 - Sparkly Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,

I'm stopping by to share my DT post for Time Out 's last challenge of the year 2023 where we challenge you to be "Sparkly".

And this is what I've created using Maker Forte Stamp set called "Calming Cosmos" and the glitters from my stash.I'm hoarding so many of  these glitters from Maker forte and it was so much fun playing with these glitters after a long time..Thank goodness it's not summer here in Belgium; otherwise, I might be sweating glitter after creating this card. 😅

To make this card, I took A2 size White card base and ink blended it lightly with Distress inks. Then, I added double sided tape and created the striped pattern. I removed the top layer of the double sided tape and added generous amount of glitter and start rubbing it using my bone folder. You will notice that once you start rubbing it will start shining more and more. Once I am done, I dusted off all the extra glitter.

Meanwhile,  I stamped this Flower from Maker forte stamp set and fussy cut it. I adhered this panel on the card front using foam tape to give some dimension.

After that, I stamped the birthday sentiment from same stamp set on a White card strip and adhered to the card base to complete this Sparkly birthday card.

I hope you get inspired and will join this challenge#253 at Time Out. This challenge is sponsored by
Picket Fence Studios and the Challenge winners will receive a $25.00 gift voucher to spend on their shop.

I can't wait to see how you get inspired.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

  1. Deepti! Oh how I LOVE your creative and clever and sparkly creation! I just love the stark contrast of the outline image and the fabulous glittery, stripy panel. You are probably still covered in glitter from this one, but it is well worth it. I just LOVE it and it is so perfect for our challenge.

  2. Glitter can sometimes be my enemy but I love how you applied yours to double-sided tape, Deepti. It looks beautiful with the flower edging over it just a bit.
