Diwali Card

Hello Everyone,

I'm stopping by to share this festive Diwali card which I've made for a Instagram Hop along with some amazing Crafty Friends where the theme is Festive. You can find more details about this hop at my Instagram Page

Over to my card..

To make this card, I first die cut out white card stock and ink blended it using 'Mustard Seed', 'Spiced Marmalade' and 'Picked Raspberry' Distress Inks. Once done with ink blending, I splattered it with water to add interest. Then I stamped the sentiment using Tubby Craft sentiment stamp.

Meanwhile, I die cut out this beautiful doily using Itsy Bitsy dies on White card stock and adhered it to the ink blended panel using glue.

I mounted this panel on White card base using Foam tape and added some Gold sequins to complete this Diwali Card. I really like how it turned out. I hope you like it too.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

I love you furry much...

Hello friends,

Hope you are doing great!!

Here I am back with a cute card....I bought this cute Kitty stamp set almost 3 months back,, finally I  got the chance to ink it.. Actually this is my first stamp set with Kitties...Yippee...Aren't they cute... :).. I really adore them..

So... Here is my card...

To make this card:
  • I took A2 size fleece white card stock of 270 gsm from Itsy Bitsy  which they have sent me to try ( that was my happy mail ;))...I just love the texture it has...you see the close up pic for that...
  • After that, I distress inked the heart by masking the rest of the card stock. Splattered some water for the interest.
  • In the mean time, stamped the cute images from Purrfect Birthday Stamp set, colored it with gansai tambi water colors and fussy cut it and adhered it to my card stock with double sided tape.
  • Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.
  • Finally, finished it by adding some silver sequins from Itsy Bitsy.

Here are some more pics...

Hope you like it..

Altered Mixed Media Photo frame..

Hello Friends,

Hope you are doing great!!!

Here I'm sharing a altered mixed media photo frame which I have made 2 -3 weeks back on commission, but I didn't get time to blog it earlier...beware..this is a picture heavy post...:)

Here we go...

To make this mixed media photo frame:
  • I took a wooden photo frame of photo size 8 by 6 inches and covered it with white Gesso twice and let it air dry.
  • Once it dried completely, I stenciled the whole photo frame with Stamplorations "foiled again" stencil using monte marle modelling paste from Itsy Bitsy and once again let it air dry completely.
  • After that I arranged all my embellishment ( flowers, chip board embellishments, beads and Love word die cut (from winnie & walter) ) as shown in the pic and adhered the same with glue gun and covered the whole thing with white gesso.
  • Now , my base was ready for some fun coloring , I used four acrylics colors ( Sea Blue, Purple, Turquoise, Gold)  and colored it till I was satisfied.
  • After that I sprayed it with Itsy Bitsy's Golden alcohol spray for the shimmer
  • Finally, when it was dried, I covered the whole thing with modge podge to protect it.
Here are some close ups....

I hope you like it..

Awesome You are...

Hello Friends,

Hope you are doing great!!

Here I am back with my second card using the ornament doily dies from Itsy Bitsy. You can find the first one here. In this card I used the negative die cut out from my earlier card.

Here is my Card:

To make this card:
  • I die cut out the watercolor paper using Fancy frame dies from Craftin Desert Divas and then rainbow colored it with Gansai tambi watercolors. Once satisfied, sprayed the whole panel with Itsy Bitsy golden alcohol splash. You can see the gold shimmer in 3rd pic.
  • After that, I mounted it on the white card stock as shown and cut out the extra panel. And hand embossed the rest of the white panel with horizontal lines.
  • Then arranged all the negative die cut outs of ornamental doily from Itsy bitsy India and adhered it on the panel as shown..It took me lot of time to arrange all the small cut out..I think it was worth spending that time..:)
  • Meanwhile, I heat embossed the "awesome" die cut out from Stamplorations with gold embossing powder and added two layers of it to make it thick. Stamped the word " You are" on white card stock and adhered it below the word "awesome".
  • Finally, finished it by adding some gold sequins from Itsy Bitsy.

Here is the close up:

One more pic from different angle to show the gold shimmer.
