Birthday Monster!!

Hello Everyone..

Here I'm back with a cute birthday monster card from Gerda Steiner Designs. I couldn't resist myself buying this cute image from them called "I didn't eat it (yet)! - Birthday Monster" for their August Challenge

Actually I made two cards with same layout ..Here is my first one..

To make my cards:

  • I took A2 size card stock and stenciled the background with distress ink. I have used Faber castell stencils.
  • Meanwhile I coloured this cute monster with gansai tambi watercolors and fussy cut it.
  • Then I die cut out the word Happy &  Birthday using W&W word dies and Do crafts dies respectively. Coloured the same with watercolors.
  • Adhered my die cut outs and image as shown.
  • Finally complete it by adding some sequins here and there.

Customized Rakhi Cards..

Hello Friends...

Here is my second post of the day...earlier one was my scheduled DT post...:)

Few weeks back , I have made couple of customized cards (to be precise 4.. sharing 2 cards in this post) for Raksha Bhandhan which we  have celebrated on 7th August ( For my international friends ..Raksha Bhandhan is a Hindu festival which means "bond of protection".On Raksha Bandhan, a sister ties a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's wrist with a prayer for his prosperity and happiness. This symbolizes the sister's love. The brother gives her a token gift and a promise to protect her.) But didn't get time to upload the same...So finally....I am here ..:) and participating in couple of challenges too ..

Here is card 1

This is my first Quirky card..which I made for my younger brother.. as he is currently settled in London.. I drew UK map and colored it..Love this super cute image from Jane's doodles which reminds me of our childhood...

And here is Card 2

For this card I drew the earth and colored it with gansai tambi watercolors , sentiments are handwritten. I have made 2 more cards with same theme..will share the same in next post..

Crafty Creations August Challenge- DT Post

Hello Friends,

Hope you are doing great!!

Here I am back with my DT post for Crafty Creations Challenges and as usual the theme is "Anything Goes". This challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I chose this  image for my card called "Superdad".

I made this card for my Dad's 65th Birthday which he has celebrated on 12th August...I am not very expressive with my words but for the first time I have sent a card on his birthday and thanked him and showed my gratitude for everything he has done for me.. He is my super hero..I love him too much... Before I get too much sentimental....;)

Here is my card..

By the way...He loved this card so much...:)..I'm glad that I expressed my feelings for him through this card...:) :)

To make this card:
  • I took A2 size white cards stock and stamped it with Neat & tangled sun burst stamp using water color and extend it further.
  • Then I die cut the city scape using clearly besotted dies on black card stock.
  • Meanwhile, I colored the digi image with Gansai Tambi watercolours and fussy cut it.
  • After that I adhered the city scape die cut out and super dad image along with colored stars which was part of the digi image.
  • Heat embossed the birthday sentiment from HLS stamp with gold embossing powder and added my handwritten sentiment below it.
  • Finally finished my card by adding gold sequins here and there.
Hope you like it.

Here is the close up...
